GLENWOOD SOCCER CLUB PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

1. Glenwood Soccer Club (GSC) players are expected to treat coaches, teammates, opponents, parents and referees with kindness and respect.

2. The coach is in charge during practices and games. Follow their directions quickly without argument or complaint.

3. Use appropriate language during practice and games.

4. Your teammates are your friends. No bullying of teammates or opponents (either physical or verbal) is acceptable.

CONSEQUENCES FOR NOT FOLLOWING THE CODE OF CONDUCT

If after a phone call to the parent from the coach, the player chooses not to act within the Player Code of Conduct, the following will occur:

1st Offense:

The player’s parents will be asked to remove their child from the game or practice property.  A discussion of the reason(s) for the player’s removal will occur either at the time the player is picked up or after game or practice is completed, at the coach’s discretion.  A parent of the player will be required to be present at the next 3 games and all practices that occur before the 3rd game.

The coach will notify the GSC Board President of the incident.

2nd Offense:

The player will be suspended from the next game and any practices that occur before the game.

The coach will notify the GSC Board President of the incident.

3rd Offense:

The player will be suspended for the remainder of the season. A meeting will occur with the player, their parents and the soccer board to determine if the player will be allowed to register for the next season.

NO REFUND OF UNIFORM OR REGISTRATION FEES WILL BE GIVEN IF A PLAYER IS SUSPENDED.
